Fresh Graduates with Recession

Its a tough time for all freshers now to land in a good job.Poor Placements in colleges as left fresh graduates no where. Most of the companies don't hire people and even if they hire, they hire only experienced candidates and not the freshers.

Students who graduated from top colleges are even facing the heat of recession.Students who got placed through their colleges in various companies are waiting with the hope for a call letter.I see many of the engg graduates who got placed in top MNCs, have been informed that they will be called only after 6 months for joining and some haven't even received any response.

Mostly software companies have delayed the date of joining for the young graduates. One of my friend who got placed in top MNC last year, had to wait for 8 months after graduation. Then he underwent training in that MNC for 6 months, after which he was sent out of the company saying his performance was not up to their expectation.Out of 100 students nearly 40% of the students were asked to leave by that MNC after training. This was the case one year back ,now the situation is still more worse and students are left with no hope.

Many students always opt for IT companies to work and don't show their interest in other sectors. Many students join IT companies with lots of dreams but finally end up with failures. Most of the IT companies are totally dependent on foreign clients,so any recession in the client country would have its effect even here,so students should also focus on other industries that has job security.

Its good for a fresher to start his/her career in a small company ,where he/she can learn more and grow soon. The downturn in IT sector as taught a lesson to all people and insisted a need for everyone to focus on other industries too.
